What is DinoCon?

DinoCon - the new, annual, dinosaur-themed convention - combines the world of palaeontology, palaeoart, natural history, and palaeo-news to celebrate all things prehistoric. Here, you’ll find dinosaur-themed merch, toys, models, books, artwork, games, costumes, and much more in the UK’s first large-scale dedicated dinosaur-focused convention. This event offers something exciting for everyone interested in dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, of all ages.

DinoCon follows the highly successful, 11-year run of TetZooCon, a convention and conference dedicated to natural history run by palaeontologist Dr Darren Naish and palaeoartist John Conway. Expanding in partnership with PalaeoGames Ltd., DinoCon will continue this legacy and will become the primary showcase for new models, figures, toys, and books, as well as a major venue for artists and designers to showcase their writing and palaeoart.

The convention includes talks, discussion panels, presentations, and book signings, as well as unique palaeoart workshops to learn how experts illustrate dinosaurs. Several meetings dedicated to palaeontology have run in the UK previously, but nothing on the scale of DinoCon. Its focus on natural history will also include content based around cryptozoology, weird real animals, and fantasy dinosaur-monsters.
