Frequently asked questions

  • There are a number of pay and display car parks at the University of Exeter. There will be a small fee of 50p for all day parking during the weekend.

  • There is a regular public bus service that connects Exeter city centre, Exeter St. David's train station, and Exeter Airport to the University (Buses no. 4 & 4a). Exeter St. David's train station is also within walking distance of the University.

  • Yes, there will be a designated room available for changing in/out of costumes.

  • There will be something for everyone. Our main talks and panels will be catered towards the general public, but we will also have scientific lectures running at the same time. Attendees are free to sit in on any talk that sparks their interest.

  • Yes, there will be some activities for children of all ages, however the talks will be catered towards adults and young adults.

  • There is some accommodation available to book at the University of Exeter called "Holland Hall". Please see our Venue page for details on how to book. Otherwise, Exeter City has a wide variety of hotels, B&Bs and Airbnbs available.

  • The venue has a small restaurant on site that will be open at all times during the event.

  • Yes, there will be an opportunity to check-in and collect your welcome pack on the evening of Friday 15th August. More details about this will be available closer to the event.

  • Alcohol will be available to purchase from the "Ram Bar" during the evening event. For safeguarding purposes, we cannot allow children to be on site at this time. The Quiz (and the inevitable banter during it) will also not be suitable for children.

  • Only registered assistance animals are allowed at this event.

  • Yes, you can choose to attend for just the Saturday or Sunday. Please note though that whilst some activities will be the same for both days (art workshops, the vendor hall, etc), the talks will be different each day and there is an evening event on the Saturday only.

  • We are currently accepting applications for stallholders. Please visit the Stallholders page on our website for information on table types and prices, and to apply.
